These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Video.yt and the tools available at https://video.yt (the “Service”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The service

Video.yt provides free, browser-based utilities for video creators — including metadata, caption, SEO, calculator, and in-browser video and audio processing tools. The tools run on your own device; the files and text you process are not uploaded to or stored by us. No account is required and there is no fee to use the tools.

2. Your content and files

You retain all rights to the files, text, and other content you process with the Service. Because processing happens locally in your browser, we do not receive, access, store, or claim any rights to your content. You are solely responsible for the content you process and for having the necessary rights to do so.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • violate any law or infringe the intellectual property, privacy, or other rights of others;
  • circumvent, or attempt to circumvent, the terms of any third-party platform (including YouTube’s Terms of Service), or to download or rip content you are not authorized to obtain;
  • create or distribute content intended to deceive, defraud, or impersonate, or that is unlawful, harmful, or abusive;
  • interfere with, disrupt, overload, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its infrastructure, including via automated scraping or denial-of-service techniques;
  • reverse engineer the Service except to the extent that restriction is prohibited by law.

4. Intellectual property

The Service’s software, design, branding, text, and original content are owned by Video.yt or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license to use the Service for its intended purpose. These Terms do not transfer any ownership rights to you. Output you generate from your own input files belongs to you.

5. Advertising and monetization

The Service is free and supported by third-party advertising (Google AdSense). Ads, including the products, services, and links they contain, are provided by third parties and are not endorsements by Video.yt. We are not responsible for, and do not warrant, the content of any advertisement or any transaction you enter into with an advertiser. Your interactions with advertisers are solely between you and the advertiser. How advertising data is handled is described in our Privacy Policy.

6. Third-party services and links

The Service may reference or link to third-party websites, documentation, and services that we do not control. We provide these for convenience only and are not responsible for their availability, content, or practices. Accessing third-party sites is at your own risk and subject to their terms.

7. Informational accuracy

Specification pages, calculators, and guidance on the Service are provided for general informational purposes. Third-party platform requirements (resolutions, bitrates, monetization rates, and similar values) change frequently and may differ for your account. Verify critical values against the relevant platform’s official documentation before relying on them. Nothing on the Service constitutes professional, legal, or financial advice.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any tool output will meet your requirements or be free of defects.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Video.yt and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, files, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of or inability to use the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Because processing occurs on your device, you are responsible for keeping backups of your source files.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Video.yt and its operators from any claims, liabilities, damages, and expenses arising out of your use of the Service or your violation of these Terms or any applicable law or third-party right.

11. Trademarks and affiliation

Video.yt is an independent creator-tools project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by YouTube, Google LLC, or any other platform. Product names, logos, and trademarks referenced on the Service are the property of their respective owners and are used only for identification and descriptive purposes.

12. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how data is handled, including third-party advertising cookies.

13. Availability and changes to the service

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time without notice. We are not liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Service.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect, and the unenforceable provision will be applied to the maximum extent permitted by law.
