This Privacy Policy explains what information Video.yt (“Video.yt”, “we”, “us”) does and does not collect when you visit https://video.yt and use its tools, and how third parties such as Google may use cookies for analytics and advertising on the site. By using Video.yt you agree to the practices described here.

1. How the tools work — local-only processing

Video.yt is a collection of browser-based tools. Video and audio processing runs in your browser using WebAssembly (FFmpeg compiled to WASM); metadata, caption, calculator, and SEO tools run as client-side JavaScript. The files you select and the text you enter are read and processed on your own device. They are not transmitted to us, not stored on our servers, and not accessible to us. When you close or reload the page, that working data is gone.

2. Information we collect directly

We do not require an account and we do not ask for personal information to use the tools. The only time you actively send us information is if you choose to contact us through the contact page. In that case you provide the name, email address, and message content you include. We use that information solely to read and respond to your message and do not use it for marketing or share it with third parties.

3. Server logs and hosting

The site is delivered as a static application by our hosting and content-delivery provider, Cloudflare. Like virtually all websites, the infrastructure that serves pages may automatically process limited technical request data (such as IP address, browser user-agent, referring URL, and timestamps) for the purpose of delivering content, maintaining security, and preventing abuse. We do not use this data to build profiles of visitors. Cloudflare’s handling of this data is governed by its own privacy policy.

4. Cookies and similar technologies

The tools themselves do not require cookies and do not write to local storage to follow you across sessions. The cookies and similar identifiers used on this site are set by our third-party providers — Google Analytics (measurement) and Google AdSense (advertising) — as described in the Analytics and Advertising sections below. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings; doing so will not break the tools, since the tools do not depend on cookies.

5. Advertising — Google AdSense

Video.yt is free and is supported by advertising. We use Google AdSense, a third-party advertising service provided by Google LLC, to display ads. The following disclosures are required for, and describe, that service:

• Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to this website and other websites.
• Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
• You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of a third-party vendor’s use of cookies for personalized advertising at aboutads.info and youronlinechoices.eu (EEA/UK).

Where required by law (for example, in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland), a consent message will be shown for the use of cookies and data for personalized advertising, and your choice will be respected. We do not control the content of third-party ads.

6. Analytics — Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics, a web-analytics service provided by Google LLC, to understand how visitors use the site in aggregate (for example, which tools and pages are popular) so we can prioritize what to build and improve. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar identifiers and may collect data such as your approximate location (derived from IP address), device and browser type, referring pages, and the pages and tools you view. It does not have access to the files or content you process in the tools, which never leave your device.

We use this information only in aggregate to measure traffic; we do not use it to identify you personally. Google processes this data as described in its Privacy Policy and How Google uses data when you use its partners’ sites or apps. You can prevent your data from being used by Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, or by blocking analytics cookies in your browser. We do not operate any other first-party tracking pixels, session recording, or device fingerprinting.

7. Third-party links

Some pages link to external sites (for example platform documentation, or Google’s ad-settings pages). We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those sites. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any site you visit.

8. Children’s privacy

Video.yt is a general-audience tool not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). Advertising on the site is not personalized to children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights over personal data, including the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your data, the right to object to processing, and the right to data portability (EEA/UK GDPR), or the right to know, delete, correct, and opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information and not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights (California CCPA/CPRA). Because the tools process your files locally and we do not maintain accounts or marketing databases, we hold very little personal data about you. For data Google processes through Google Analytics and Google AdSense, use the opt-out controls described in the Analytics and Advertising sections above. 10. Data retention and security

Tool inputs are never sent to us, so there is nothing for us to retain or secure on the server side for that processing. Messages you send through the contact page are kept only as long as needed to respond and for reasonable record-keeping, then deleted. We rely on HTTPS and our hosting provider’s security controls to protect the site in transit.

11. International users

Video.yt is operated as a static site distributed globally through a content-delivery network, and our analytics and advertising providers operate internationally. By using the site you understand that limited technical, analytics, and advertising data may be processed in countries other than your own, under the safeguards of the respective providers.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to the site, our advertising setup, or legal requirements. Material changes will be indicated by updating the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
