After a successful festival circuit screening at festivals including the prestigious AACTA Awards (AFI Awards Australia), Sydney Film Festival and Animafest Zagreb, The Albatross is ready to make it"s internet debut.

CGI 3D Animated SOAR Short Film by Alyce Tzue. Featured on http://www.cgmeetup.net/home/soar/

A cross between Miyazaki and Pixar, SOAR is an award-winning 3D animated movie about a young girl who must help a tiny boy pilot fly home before it's too late.

Soar was created as Alyce Tzue's thesis project in school. What began as a toil of love by first-time filmmakers ended up catching the eyes of festivals all over the world. Soar is the proud 2015 Gold Winner of the 42nd Student Oscars, Best Student Animation Winner at Palm Springs, Finalist at the Student BAFTAs, and has screened in the Hamptons, St. Louis, Seoul, Austin, and more.

The Soar team is beyond grateful for your support. We believe the film's surprise success is proof of its message: when you put in everything you've got, sometimes you achieve more than you ever expected.

There are plans to make Soar into a feature length film inspired by the sensibilities of Hayao Miyazaki and Antoine de Saint-Exupéry's The Little Prince.

The great thing about animation and the thing that keeps it tricky to categorize is that it’s not a genre, but a style. An aesthetic choice by a filmmaker the same as a film stock. The original 30 second video for Itt Van A Gumimaci, the Hungarian version of I Am A Gummy Bear, debuted on the internet in August of 2006. It quickly went viral, gaining hundreds of thousands of views as the popularity of this catchy song and funny character increased and spread by word of mouth. A 30 second English version was then created which helped to increase the clip's popularity and views rocketed up into the millions. By the summer of 2007, the final full length 2:30 version was released and it has been gaining views and viewers ever since.
